Meet our hard-working and ambitious Member of the Month for January, Diya Pathak!

As a consistent member of Sister Fit for over a year, Diya pushes herself to be better in all aspects of her life. With integrity and a driven mindset, Diya tries hard to figure out what health means for her. She strives for excellence and exudes authenticity. If she’s happy, she says so. If she’s not, she’s honest about it! And, she laughs at my jokes!

What made you join Sister Fit?

I joined Sister Fit almost 12 months ago to start on the journey of fitness. My decision to go for boxing was to try something different and to put my energy into an activity that could help me cope with some mental health issues I was facing at one point. I am glad that I made this decision back then.

How old are you? How do you like to identify?

I am 22 years old and I identify as a woman.

What would you say to help encourage another person to join our gym?

I would highly recommend this gym to others. The moment you enter here, you experience a freshness and a good vibe. All the people and trainers have been friendly and not at any point would anyone feel insecure and judged.

What are some differences that you have noticed in your mental and physical health?

My experience here has not just made me physically stronger but also mentally. By venting my energy at the gym, I was able to manage my anger issues and anxiety. There was a sense of satisfaction at the end of the day.

What’s your favourite food?

Being an Indian, I am a big fan of North Indian cuisine. No matter where I am, after some point I want my favourite food. The simplicity and taste of daal and rice (lentils) is unmatched.

What’s your favourite exercise?

The exercise I enjoy the most is squats.

What do you do for work?

I am an insurance broker by profession.

What are you passionate about?

I am most passionate about working on myself and becoming a strong person mentally and physically who is capable of fighting any trouble life throws at me. I want to be mentally at a point where I am always kind and empathetic to others.
